I finally made it your blog! I love this post on PBL- it hits home for me! I think the biggest struggle I have had with PBL is staying organized and differentiating for my learners. While most of my units incorporate PBL and products, I have pushed myself and my students in developing their own products. I do this by offering a variety of products (like a menu of choices) that incorporate different skills to show what they have learned from that unit. From screencasts, shoebox dioramas, painting portraits, to podcasts- it can be a bit difficult to manage at times but I think we are getting there. I will warn you, it's a messy process, but so worth it!
Elle, I love your idea about giving the students a menu of choices! I can't wait to give my future students a menu! :) So far I have found that PBL is quite a process. But i think it will really help students will their critical thinking skills. Thanks for checking out my blog! Jennah
